BOLLÉ LUGANA SPUMANTE BRUT

Azienda Agricola Pratello sits on the morainic hills of the southwest side of Lake Garda towards Brescia. Its 85 hectare vineyard embraces both the Valtenesi and Lugana territories. The heart of the company is situated on the top of the hills, and is influenced by a microclimate.

For a long time spumante was one of the most misunderstood wines. Yet, Italian ‘frizzante’ wine comes from a long winemaking tradition. It doesn’t need to come from a defined region or specific grapes, or be made using a particular fermentation method. As long as it has been grown and produced in Italy, it can be bottled as a spumante wine. To cite them all, there are five types: Prosecco, Lambrusco, Franciacorta, Metodo Classico and Asti Spumante. The Turbiana grape, part of the Trebbiano family, adapts well to the soil, characterized by clay. Soft pressing of the whole grapes, grafting of the autoclave fermentation for about 16 days, then bottling and aging for three quarters of a month, release a wine with a nice perfume, persistent in the mouth.

This wine from Lombardy has a bright yellow color and releases subtle, sinuous bubbles. On the nose it is intense, fresh and floral, turning into notes of candied fruit. On the palate the wine shows a nice softness slightly sweet embellished by a pleasant acidity. A harmonious and elegant wine, excellent as an aperitive.
