Monde Selection applies strict international regulations for the organisation of the wine contest. The judges blind taste the wines according to the tasting sheets of OIV and UIOE (The International Union of Oenologists). The files of each participating wine, including the laboratory analyses, are analyzed before the contest by the Federal Public Service of Belgium, (General Management – Economic Inspection) and experts appointed by the Organising Committee.
Our Experts
For the evaluation, the judges focus on the sensory qualities of the wine. The panel of judges is international and composed of technical experts in the field:
- Oenologists
- Sommeliers
- Professors and lecturers
- Wine controllers and experts
This is a real advantage which gives each distinction awarded by Vinitaste an exclusive and serious value.
